New Rescue Equipment

After waiting what seemed like an eternity, in early 2004 (well, there was snow on the ground, despite the blue skies!) NSVL finally took delivery of a range of new rescue equipment, including new rescue boards and kayaks. The rescue boards have been imported from the USA and are the same lightweight boards used by Californian lifeguards, weighing about half the weight of a traditional rescue board. The following images include action shots as taken by us, and 'funny' photos as requested for a photo shoot for regional newspaper, The Journal...
