These photos were taken at Whitley Bay, Cullercoats, Tynemouth Longsands and King Edward's Bay during a hot spell in late June 2005. Although the photos were taken on weekdays and it was not yet the summer holidays, the beaches of North Tyneside were still very busy and a number of incidents took place.
The beach panorama photos are made up of a number of photographs merged together. Shown at full resolution the long ones would be over 13,000 pixels long! Slighter larger versions are available bly clicking on the images.
